Crossing Paths with Wonderful Scholars
These past few weeks have crossed paths with many wonderful scholars, including meetings today with Emanuel Tov (who is lecturing tonight to a sold out crowd at our Atlanta series: www.explorepassages.com). Also, Bobby Duke from Azusa Pacific will be joining. Last week I enjoyed the keynote from Eric Metaxas at the National Prayer Breakfast (now splattered over the web), and Steve Green’s keynote the next day the American Bible Society’s National Prayer Breakfast. A highlight was a long conversation with Michael Cromartie in DC (VP of Ethics and Public Policy Center). After spending a few hours with him, it’s little wonder that his Faith Angle Forum is so highly praised. See: Fred Barnes’ delightful piece I nthe Weekly Standard, “Render unto Mike!” http://www.weeklystandard.com/articles/render-unto-mike . Thursday through Monday I’ll join Scott Carroll and our Green Scholars team at sold out events at Gordon Conwel Theological Seminary—Charlotte. Over three thousand tickets have already been assigned. A couple of weeks ago we were privileged to join Tyndale House, Cambridge in our research initiatives: http://www.demossnews.com/greencollection/news/ancient_biblical_manuscri.... Peter Williams (Warden of Tyndale House) and his colleagues are a delight—and wonderful scholars.
