Exciting Events and Changes
The upcoming National Conversations series is exciting, and I am honored to be directing this far-reaching event. The subtitle sums up the project well: "The University and the Public Square—A Series of Civil Dialogues about Society's Well-being." For access to the free webcast, go to: www.nationalconversations.com. Also, for my latest articles, see: "How to talk about books you haven't read" and "The Big Questions." And, I'm happy to join Jeremie Kubicek and his team as a writing partner (at GiANT Impact). This is an amazing group that helps to develop leaders of influence (serving over 3,500 CEOs and hundreds of thousands of others). I've thoroughly enjoyed their Leadercasts over the years (formerly known as Simulcasts). I especially enjoyed the interviews with Jack Nicklaus and former Prime Minister Tony Blair.
This spring I'll be speaking in various venues, including the University of Central Florida, the Florida Dunes Golf resort, conferences for the AAC&U (D.C.) and CCCU (Atlanta), a workshop for the Jossey-Bass book on sophomores (Savannah, for USC-FYE), and wherever McGraw-Hill wants me to go. I'm also pleased to be doing additional broadcasts with Magna Productions, and to be included in their new launch of bundled resources (various delivery modalities). As the National Conversations picks up, my schedule will likely fill up, esp. with the event in D.C. in the fall on "Education in Crisis."
